Hellas Verona fell to a home defeat at the hands of Juventus at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi on Thursday. Verona were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 2-0 to AC Monza in their previous fixture. Juve were hoping to continue their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Internazionale and Lecce. Verona and Juve currently occupy 20th and 3rd spots in the table, with 5 points and 28 points respectively after 14 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Juve continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, with a goal from Moise Kean on the 60 minute mark. When the final whistle blew, the result was 1-0 to Juve.

Substitutions for Verona included Darko Lazovic, Miguel Veloso, Simone Verdi, Koray Gunter and Thomas Henry for Josh Doig, Sulemana, Yayah Kallon, Pawel Dawidowicz and Milan Djuric, respectively. Juve brought on Leandro Paredes, Fabio Miretti, Angel Di Maria and Alex Sandro, to replace Manuel Locatelli, Nicolo Fagioli, Moise Kean and Juan Cuadrado.

The referee booked Pawel Dawidowicz, Milan Djuric and Miguel Veloso from Verona. Juve had the worst of it though, with Leonardo Bonucci and Alex Sandro seeing yellow, and Alex Sandro then sent off with a red.

Verona next face Spezia Calcio while Juve are at home to Lazio.
