Verona 1 – Milan 3: Rossoneri leave the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi with all 3 points

Hellas Verona fell to a home defeat at the hands of AC Milan at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi on Sunday. Both Verona and Milan arrived on the back of wins. Verona had been hopeful of continuing their run after winning last match while Milan were coming from consecutive wins against Fiorentina and Lazio. As the table looks today, Verona are in 9th place, with 52 points from 36 matches, while Milan sit in 1st, with 80 points from 36.
Verona started strongly in the first half, with Davide Faraoni finding the net, 38 minutes in. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Sandro Tonali equalised for Rossoneri just before half-time to see out the first half 1-1.
Milan fought back, thanks to an early 2nd effort from Sandro Tonali in the 49th minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Alessandro Florenzi just before the final whistle with a final score of 3-1.
For Verona, Fabio Depaoli, Martin Hongla, Kevin Lasagna and Bosko Sutalo, came on for Davide Faraoni, Nicolo Casale, Giovanni Simeone and Federico Ceccherini. Milan brought on Ante Rebic, Junior Messias, Ismael Bennacer, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alessandro Florenzi, to replace Olivier Giroud, Alexis Saelemaekers, Rade Krunic, Rafael Leao and Davide Calabria.
