Fiorentina 0 – Lazio 4: The White and Sky Blues deliver emphatic win, at Stadio Artemio Franchi

Lazio defeated Fiorentina 4-0 on Monday at Stadio Artemio Franchi. Fiorentina were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 1-0 to Atalanta in their last match while Lazio were coming from consecutive wins against Spezia Calcio and Cremonese. Fiorentina are currently 13th with 9 points from 9 matches, while Lazio sit in 3rd, with 20 points from 9.

Lazio started strongly in the first half, when Matias Vecino opened the rout in the 11th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Mattia Zaccagni made it 2-0 on the 25 minute mark. The score at half time remained 2-0.

The White and Sky Blues continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Luis Alberto found the net, 85 minutes in. However they weren’t finished yet and Ciro Immobile made it 4-0 just before the final whistle to give a final score of 4-0.

Substitutions for Fiorentina included Nicolas Gonzalez, Antonin Barak, Nikola Milenkovic, Youssef Maleh and Riccardo Saponara for Jonathan Ikone, Sofyan Amrabat, Igor, Giacomo Bonaventura and Christian Kouame, respectively. Lazio brought on Luis Alberto, Elseid Hysaj, Matteo Cancellieri and Pedro for Marcos Antonio, Adam Marusic, Mattia Zaccagni and Felipe Anderson.

There were bookings for Sofyan Amrabat, Igor, Rolando Mandragora and Dodo from Fiorentina. For Lazio, Manuel Lazzari saw yellow.

Fiorentina will next play Lecce away, with Lazio facing Udinese at home.
