Fiorentina 1-1 Juventus: The Old Lady held up by the Viola

On Saturday, Fiorentina and Juve played out a 1-1 draw at Stadio Artemio Franchi. Fiorentina were looking forward to playing again after losing their last match 1-0 to Udinese. Juve, meanwhile, were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-0 win against Spezia Calcio in their last match. Fiorentina and Juve are 10th, (6 points) and 3rd, (9 points), spots respectively, after 5 matches.

Juve dominated the first half, when Arkadiusz Milik found the net on the 9 minute mark. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Christian Kouame equalised for The Purple One in the 29th minute, to take a 1-1 lead into half time. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Substitutions for Fiorentina included Lucas Martinez, Rolando Mandragora, Jonathan Ikone, Arthur Cabral and Szymon Zurkowski for Nikola Milenkovic, Youssef Maleh, Christian Kouame, Luka Jovic and Antonin Barak, respectively. Juve replaced Mattia De Sciglio, Fabio Miretti, Moise Kean, Leonardo Bonucci and Nicolo Fagioli with Angel Di Maria, Juan Cuadrado, Filip Kostic, Alex Sandro and Leandro Paredes.

There were bookings for Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina. For Juve, Alex Sandro, Manuel Locatelli and Danilo saw yellow.

Fiorentina will next travel to Bologna, while Juve will face Salernitana at home.
