Fiorentina 2-0 Juventus: The Viola miss Top 6 finish despite victory over Juve

Fiorentina earn hard-fought win over Juventus 2-0 on Saturday at Stadio Artemio Franchi. Fiorentina were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Sampdoria. Juve secured a point against Lazio in their previous match. This left, Fiorentina and Juve are 7th (62 points) and 4th (70 points) in the table respectively, after a total of 38 matches.

The Purple One continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Nicolas Gonzalez finding the net just before the final whistle. The game ended with a 2-0 home victory.

For Fiorentina, Alvaro Odriozola, Jonathan Ikone, Lucas Torreira and Arthur Cabral, came on for Lorenzo Venuti, Riccardo Saponara, Alfred Duncan and Krzysztof Piatek. Juve brought on Daniele Rugani, Carlo Pinsoglio, Marley Ake, Dusan Vlahovic and Weston McKennie, to replace Giorgio Chiellini, Mattia Perin, Federico Bernardeschi, Moise Kean and Fabio Miretti.

There were bookings for Igor, Lorenzo Venuti and Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina, and Moise Kean, Adrien Rabiot and Matthijs De Ligt, for Juve.
