Fiorentina 1 – Atalanta 0: Points secure for The Purple One at Stadio Artemio Franchi

Fiorentina defeat Atalanta 1-0 on Sunday at Stadio Artemio Franchi. Fiorentina were looking to pick up points, following a 2-1 victory against Spezia Calcio. Atalanta, on the other hand, secured a point against Juventus in their previous match. As the table looks today, Fiorentina are in 7th place on the table and has 42 points while Atalanta sit in 5th with 44 points after 26 matches.

After a goalless first half, Fiorentina applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Krzysztof Piatek finding the net, at 56 minutes. The final result, Fiorentina 1, Atalanta 0.

Atalanta replaced Berat Djimsiti, Remo Freuler, Davide Zappacosta, Rafael Toloi and Jeremie Boga for Mario Pasalic, Matteo Pessina, Giuseppe Pezzella, Giorgio Scalvini and Valentin Mihaila.

There were bookings for Nikola Milenkovic and Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina. For Atalanta, Berat Djimsiti, Ruslan Malinovskyi, Merih Demiral and Rafael Toloi saw yellow.
