Cremonese 0-1 Sampdoria: Colley goal gives Samp narrow away win

Sampdoria eased past Cremonese in a 1-0 victory on Monday at Stadio Giovanni Zini. USC arrived with the intention of improving their league position after a 2-2 draw against Spezia Calcio. Sampdoria had lost their previous match against Roma. USC are now in 19th place on the table and have 4 points while Sampdoria sit in 20th with 3 points after 11 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Sampdoria continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Omar Colley gave them the lead in the 78th minute, seing the match finish 1-0.

Substitutions for USC included Daniel Ciofani, Giacomo Quagliata, Cristian Buonaiuto, Michele Castagnetti and Felix Afena-Gyan for Cyriel Dessers, Emanuele Valeri, Luka Lochoshvili, Charles Pickel and Soualiho Meite, respectively. Sampdoria brought on Gonzalo Villar, Tommaso Augello, Mehdi Leris, Manolo Gabbiadini and Gerard Yepes, to replace Valerio Verre, Nicola Murru, Ignacio Pussetto, Abdelhamid Sabiri and Tomas Rincon.

There were bookings for Leonardo Sernicola, Charles Pickel and Soualiho Meite from USC. For Sampdoria, Omar Colley, Abdelhamid Sabiri, Bruno Amione and Manolo Gabbiadini saw yellow.

USC will play at home against Udinese, while Sampdoria will face Internazionale away.
