Bologna 2 – Udinese 2: Points shared with visitors at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara

On Sunday, Bologna and Udinese were held to a 2-2 draw at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. Bologna arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Juventus in their previous game. Udinese were coming from consecutive wins against Empoli and Venezia. After today’s result, Bologna and Udinese sit 13th, (39 points) and 12th, (40 points), in the league respectively, after 34 matches.

Bologna started strongly in the first half, with Aaron Hickey giving Bologna the lead early in the first half. However, the good fortune didn’t last for long. An equalizer from Iyenoma Destiny Udogie in the 25th minute brought Bianconeri level. Udinese then netted once more and turned the match thanks to a goal from Isaac Success just before half-time, finishing the first half 1-2.

The Greyhounds took the lead in the second half, thanks to a goal from Nicola Sansone at the 59 minute mark. The game ended wih a 2-2 draw.

For Bologna, Michel Aebischer, Nicola Sansone, Nicolas Viola, Ibrahima Mbaye and Diego Falcinelli, came on for Nicolas Dominguez, Luis Binks, Mattias Svanberg, Aaron Hickey and Roberto Soriano. Udinese brought on Lazar Samardzic and Ignacio Pussetto, to replace Tolgay Arslan and Gerard Deulofeu.

There were bookings for Nicola Sansone and Lorenzo De Silvestri from Bologna, and Nehuen Perez and Ignacio Pussetto, for Udinese.

Bologna will next play Roma away, with Udinese facing Internazionale at home.
