Bologna 2 – Spezia 1: Visitors leave the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara with nothing

On Monday, Spezia Calcio suffer an away defeat to Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. Both Bologna and Spezia came from defeats in their previous league games. Bologna were hoping to get something from this game after losing their last game 3-0 to Lazio. Spezia, on the other hand, were beaten 2-1 in the previous match against Fiorentina. As things stand, Bologna are in 13th place, with 31 points from 26 matches, while Spezia sit in 15th, with 26 points from 26.

Spezia started strong and were rewarded, thanks to Rey Manaj finding the net at the 11 minute mark. However, their lead was short lived, as Marko Arnautovic equalised for The Greyhounds just before half-time, finishing the first half 1-1.

Bologna continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Marko Arnautovic finding the net again, at 84 minutes. The game ended 2-1.

For Bologna, Adama Soumaoro, Emanuel Vignato, Nicola Sansone and Michel Aebischer, came on for Kevin Bonifazi, Luis Binks, Musa Barrow and Riccardo Orsolini. Spezia brought on Simone Bastoni, Kevin Agudelo, Aurelien Nguiamba and M’bala Nzola for Arkadiusz Reca, Giulio Maggiore, Jacopo Sala and Rey Manaj.

There were bookings for Luis Binks from Bologna. For Spezia, Rey Manaj saw yellow.

Bologna will play away against Salernitana, while Spezia will face Roma at home.
