Atalanta 4 – Torino 4: All even at the Gewiss Stadium against The Bull

On Wednesday, Atalanta and Torino were held to a 4-4 draw at the Gewiss Stadium. Both Atalanta and Torino arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Atalanta were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Torino were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-1 victory against Spezia Calcio. As it stands, Atalanta are currently 8th with 55 points from 20 matches, while Torino sit in 11th, with 44 points from 20.
The Bull started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with an early goal from Antonio Sanabria in the 4th minute. However, their lead didn’t last for long, Luis Muriel producing an equaliser, 18 minutes in, bringing Atalanta level. The momentum was now with The Goddess, who then scored again through a goal from Marten De Roon at the 23 minute mark to establish a 2-1. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Sasa Lukic equalised for Torino in the 36th minute, finalising the first half 2-2.
Torino took the initiative in the second half, thanks to Sasa Lukic finding the net again, 63 minutes in. The momentum was now with The Bull, who then scored again through a goal from Remo Freuler in the 67th minute to establish a 4-2. However, Atalanta weren’t lying down and managed to pull back a goal from Mario Pasalic, 78 minutes in. The Goddess then netted once more and equalised thanks to a 2nd effort from Luis Muriel in the 84th minute to make it 4-4.
For Atalanta, Rafael Toloi, Mario Pasalic, Jeremie Boga, Valentin Mihaila and Ruslan Malinovskyi, came on for Berat Djimsiti, Remo Freuler, Matteo Pessina, Giorgio Scalvini and Duvan Zapata. Torino brought on Josip Brekalo, Tommaso Pobega, Koffi Djidji, Demba Seck and Pietro Pellegri, to replace Marko Pjaca, Samuele Ricci, David Zima, Dennis Praet and Antonio Sanabria.
There were bookings for Remo Freuler and Mario Pasalic from Atalanta, and Sasa Lukic and David Zima, for Torino.
Atalanta will play their next fixture at home against Salernitana, while Torino will face Empoli away.
