The Goddess found the net first, thanks to a goal from Ademola Lookman in the 25th minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as Edin Dzeko equalised for Inter on the 36 minute mark, which brought Simone Inzaghi’s squad level at 1-1 at the half time break

Nerazzurri continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Edin Dzeko found the net once more in the 56th minute. Inter looked to have the match under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a goal from Jose Luis Palomino, at 61 minutes to establish a 3-1. In the end though, Atalanta pull-back following a Jose Luis Palomino goal, 77 minutes in. When the final whistle blew, the result was 3-2 to Inter.
