AC Monza 1-2 Udinese: Bianconeri land narrow win at Stadio Brianteo

Udinese eased past AC Monza in a 2-1 victory on Friday at Stadio Brianteo. ASS arrived at the match looking pick up points after losing their last match 4-0 to Napoli. Udinese had managed to pick up a single point in their matchup with Salernitana. After today’s result, ASS and Udinese currently occupy 20th and 10th spots in the table, with 0 points and 4 points respectively after 3 matches.

ASS dominated the first half, when Andrea Colpani gave ASS the lead, at 32 minutes. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Beto equalised for Bianconeri at the 36 minute mark, concluding the first half 1-1.

Udinese continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Iyenoma Destiny Udogie found the net, at 77 minutes, leaving the final score at 2-1.

Substitutions for ASS included Matteo Pessina, Chris Gytkjaer, Pepin, Patrick Ciurria and Valentin Antov for Andrea Colpani, Andrea Petagna, Mattia Valoti, Salvatore Molina and Stefano Sensi, repectively. Udinese brought on Ilija Nestorovski, Isaac Success, Tolgay Arslan, Lazar Samardzic and Enzo Ebosse, to replace Gerard Deulofeu, Beto, Sandi Lovric, Jean-Victor Makengo and Iyenoma Destiny Udogie.

There were bookings for Luca Caldirola, Pepin and Matteo Pessina from ASS. For Udinese, Iyenoma Destiny Udogie and Ilija Nestorovski saw yellow.

ASS will next play Roma away, with Udinese facing Fiorentina at home.
