Roma 3-1 Ludogorets: Giallorossi deliver decisive win at the Stadio Olympico

Roma defeated Razgrad Ludogorets 3-1 on Thursday at the Stadio Olympico. Roma were looking to continue their good run after winning last match while Ludogorets had lost their previous match against Real Betis. Following this match, Roma are now in 2nd place on the table and have 10 points while Ludogorets sit in 3rd with 7 points after 6 matches.

Ludogorets started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with a goal from Rick Lima just before half-time, saw out the first half 1-0.

Giallorossi once more applied the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Lorenzo Pellegrini in the 56th minute. The momentum was again with Roma, who then scored again courtesy of a 2nd effort from Lorenzo Pellegrini in the 65th minute to establish a 2-1 result. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a goal from Nicolo Zaniolo just before the final whistle to make it 3-1.

Substitutions for Roma included Nicolo Zaniolo, Cristian Volpato, Bryan Cristante, Nicola Zalewski and Edoardo Bove for Andrea Belotti, Mady Camara, Rick Karsdorp, Nemanja Matic and Cristian Volpato, respectively. Ludogorets brought on Kiril Despodov, Matias Tissera, Nonato, Denny Gropper and Spas Delev, to replace Bernard Tekpetey, Igor Thiago Nascimento Rodrigues, Jakub Piotrowski, Cicinho and Aslak Witry.

The referee booked Cristian Volpato, Nicolo Zaniolo and Matias Vina from Roma. Ludogorets had the worst of it though, with Cicinho, Igor Thiago Nascimento Rodrigues, Anton Nedyalkov, Jakub Piotrowski, Rick Lima and Nonato seeing yellow, and Olivier Verdon then sent off with a red.
