Betis 1-1 Sevilla: The Green-and-Whites held by Los Nervionenses

On Sunday, Betis and Seville played out a 1-1 draw at the Estadio Benito Villamarin. Betis were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Seville were beaten 1-0 in their previous match against Rayo Vallecano. Betis and Seville currently occupy 4th and 17th spots in the table, with 24 points and 11 points respectively after 13 matches.

Betis started well, when Jesus Navas found the net just before half-time

Seville took the lead in the second half, when Nemanja Gudelj found the net, 81 minutes in, to level the score at 1-1.

Substitutions for Betis included Luiz Henrique, Andres Guardado and Willian Jose for Aitor Ruibal, William Carvalho and Sergio Canales, respectively. Seville brought on Jesus Navas, Alex Telles, Youssef En-Nesyri and Kasper Dolberg, to replace Rafa Mir, Marcos Acuna, Oliver Torres and Joan Jordan.

The referee booked from Betis William Carvalho, Luiz Henrique, Alex Moreno and Claudio Bravo and from Seville Marcos Acuna, Erik Lamela, Papu Gomez, Nemanja Gudelj and Alex Telles. Both teams also had a sending off, with Nabil Fekir and Borja Iglesias for Betis and Gonzalo Montiel for Seville.

Betis will play their next fixture away against Valencia, while Seville will face Real Sociedad at home.
