Fulham 1-2 Man Utd: Late Garnacho strike gives United victory at Craven Cottage

Manchester United beat Fulham with a 2-1 victory on Sunday at Craven Cottage. Both Fulham and Man U arrived at the match with previous defeats in the league. Fulham were looking forward to playing again after losing their last match 2-1 to Manchester City. Man U were beaten 3-1 in their previous match against Aston Villa. Fulham are currently 9th with 19 points from 16 matches, while Man U sit in 5th, with 26 points from 16.

The Red Devils scored first, when Christian Eriksen found the net, 14 minutes in, saw out the first half 1-0.

The Cottagers took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Daniel James in the 61st minute. Man U in turn, then responded just before the final whistle, grabbing the lead with an effort from Alejandro Garnacho. The match ended with a 2-1 victory for the visitors.

Substitutions for Fulham included Daniel James and Joshua Onomah for Harry Wilson and Tom Cairney, respectively. Man U brought on Scott Mctominay and Alejandro Garnacho, to replace Anthony Elanga and Anthony Martial.

There were bookings for Bobby Reid from Fulham, and Alejandro Garnacho, for Man U.

Fulham will play their next fixture away against Crystal Palace, while Man U will face Nottingham Forest at home.
