Frosinone’s 2-0 win over SPAL on Saturday, was hard fought at stadio Benito Stirpe. Both FRO and SPAL came from defeats in their previous league games. FRO arrived at the match looking to pick up more points, following defeat to Parma. SPAL were beaten 2-0 in their previous match against Genoa. FRO are now in 5th place, with 15 points from 8 matches, while SPAL sit in 13th, with 9 points from 8.

FRO started the first half well, when Giuseppe Caso found the net just before half-time

FRO once more applied the pressure in the second half and were rewarded, when Mazzitelli found the net just before the full time. The match ended with a 2-0 home victory.

Substitutions for FRO included Insigne, Lulić, Mulattieri, Rohden and Frabotta for Riccardo Ciervo, Giuseppe Caso, Moro, Kone and Garritano, respectively. SPAL brought on Thiam, Dickmann, Moncini, Proia and Rauti for Alfonso, Fiordaliso, Finotto, Luca Valzania and Rabbi.

The referee booked Szyminski, Kone, Cotali and Mazzitelli from FRO. SPAL had the worst of it though, with Rabbi seeing yellow, and Matteo Arena then sent off with a red.
