Brighton 0-1 Spurs: The Seagulls sunk by Harry Kane strike

Brighton on home loss to Tottenham Hotspur at the Amex Stadium on Saturday. Brighton were on the hunt for more points after a 3-3 draw against Liverpool whilst Spurs were beaten 3-1 in their previous match against Arsenal. Brighton are now in 6th place, with 14 points from 10 matches, while Spurs sit in 3rd, with 20 points from 10.

Spurs started the first half well, thanks to a goal from Harry Kane, at 22 minutes, finishing the first half 1-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for Brighton included Kaoru Mitoma, Adam Lallana, Tariq Lamptey and Billy Gilmour for Pervis Estupinan, Pascal Gross, Joel Veltman and Moisés Caicedo, respectively. Spurs brought on Richarlison, Ivan Perisic and Oliver Skipp, to replace Yves Bissouma, Heung Min Son and Harry Kane.

There were bookings for Joel Veltman from Brighton. For Spurs, Harry Kane and Yves Bissouma saw yellow.

Brighton will next travel to Brentford, while Spurs will face Everton at home.
