Bragantino 0-2 Santos: Santos climb after good road success
Santos FC’s 2-0 win over Red Bull Bragantino on Tuesday, was hard fought at Stadium Nabi Abi Chedid (nabizao). Bragantino were hoping to get something from this game, following defeat to Coritiba. Santos were looking to extend their winning run after a 4-1 victory against Juventude. Bragantino are currently 13th with 38 points from 32 matches, while Santos sit in 11th, with 43 points from 32.
Following a goalless first half, Santos certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, when Guilherme Camacho gave them the lead, at 51 minutes. However they weren’t finished yet and Angelo made it 2-0 in the 69th minute to give a final score of 2-0.
Substitutions for Bragantino included Kevin Lomonaco, Guilherme Santos Da Silva, Ramon, Bruno Goncalves and Marcos Vinicios for Leonardo Realpe, Ramires, Helinho, Raul and Luan Candido, respectively. Santos brought on Lucas Henrique Barbosa, Madson, Vinicius Zanocelo and Sandry for Marcos Leonardo, Nathan, Lucas Braga and Ed Carlos de Arruda Amorim.
The referee booked eight players. Aderlan, Werik Popo and Leonardo Realpe from Bragantino, who saw yellow cards and Lucas Evangelista, sent off with a red, as well as for Santos Eduardo Bauermann, Rodrigo Fernandez, Angelo and Vinicius Zanocelo also seeing yellows.
Santos and Bragantino will next play at home to Corinthians and Athletico Paranaense respectively.
