Bragantino 2-2 Palmeiras: Palmeiras mount huge comeback

Bragantino were helde ach other to a 2-2 draw by Palmeiras on Sunday at Stadium Nabi Abi Chedid (nabizao). Bragantino were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 1-0 to Corinthians. Palmeiras were unable to beat Fluminense in a 1-1 draw. Bragantino are now in 10th place, with 32 points from 25 matches, while Palmeiras sit in 1st, with 51 points from 25.

It was an impressive opening from Bragantino, when Luan Candido found the net in the 25th minute. Bragantino looked to have the match under control when they scored again to grab the advantage, thanks to a goal from Artur, 35 minutes in to establish a 2-0. Palmeiras in turn, then responded just before half-time, grabbing the lead with an effort from Cleiton, finishing the first half 2-1.

Palmeiras took the lead in the second half, when Miguel Merentiel found the net in the 71st minute, seing the match finish 2-2.

Substitutions for Bragantino included Helinho, Jadsom, Praxedes, Marcos Vinicios and Jose Hurtado for Hyoran, Alerrandro, Lucas Evangelista, Ramires and Artur, respectively. Palmeiras brought on Rony, Gabriel Menino, Dudu, Miguel Merentiel and Ze Rafael for Jose Manuel Lopez, Eduard Atuesta, Wesley, Bruno Tabata and Gustavo Scarpa.

There were bookings for Artur, Lucas Evangelista, Luan Candido and Aderlan from Bragantino. For Palmeiras, Wesley, Eduard Atuesta, Vanderlan and Ze Rafael saw yellow.

Bragantino will next play Atl. Mineiro away, with Palmeiras facing Juventude at home.
