Palmeiras 0-0 São Paulo: Visitors take a superb road point

Sunday’s fixture between Palmeiras and São Paulo delivered a goalless draw at Allianz Parque. Palmeiras were looking for a victory after a 1-1 draw against Atlético Goianense. São Paulo had lost their previous match against Botafogo. Palmeiras are now in 1st place, with 68 points from 32 matches, while São Paulo sit in 11th, with 41 points from 32.

Substitutions for Palmeiras included Gabriel Menino, Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa, Eduard Atuesta, Jose Manuel Lopez and Breno for Ze Rafael, Miguel Merentiel, Mayke, Danilo and Dudu, respectively. São Paulo brought on Giuliano Galoppo, Lucas Beraldo, Igor Gomes, Welington and Marcos Guilherme, to replace Luciano, Miranda, Patryck, Reinaldo and Rodrigo Nestor.

The referee booked Ze Rafael, Murilo Cerqueira and Breno from Palmeiras. São Paulo had the worst of it though, with Eder, Welington and Jonathan Calleri seeing yellow, and Nahuel Ferraresi and Lucas Beraldo then sent off with a red.

Palmeiras will play at home against Avai, while São Paulo will face Juventude away.
