Internacional 2-1 Ceará: Visitors come from behind to claim three points

Internacional banked all three points against the Ceará in a 2-1 victory on Thursday, at Estadio Beira-Rio. Internacional arrived with the intention of improving their league position after a 1-1 draw against Coritiba, while Ceará were beaten 1-0 in their previous match against Atlético Goianense. Internacional and Ceará sit 3rd, (61 points) and 16th, (34 points), in the table respectively, after 34 matches.

Ceará started the first half well, thanks to a goal from Vinicius Lima early in the first half and the first half ended 1-0.

Internacional once more applied the pressure in the second half and were rewarded, when Edenilson found the net in the 65th minute. Internacional then scored once more and turned the match thanks to a goal from Alan Patrick, 78 minutes in to give a final score of 2-1.

Substitutions for Internacional included Weverton, Mauricio, David, Taison and Lucas Ramos for Igor, Pedro Henrique, Braian Romero, Wanderson and Alan Patrick, respectively. Ceará brought on Victor Luis, Ze Roberto, Michel, Guilherme Castilho and Iury Lirio, to replace Diego, Cleber Bomfim, Nino Paraiba, Bruno Pacheco and Geovane.

The referee booked two players from Ceará, Geovane and Luiz Otavio.

Internacional will next travel to America Mineiro, while Ceará will face Fluminense at home.
