Goiás 1 – Flamengo 1: Honours even and points shared at Estádio da Serrinha

Goiás were helde ach other to a 1-1 draw by Flamengo on Monday at Estádio da Serrinha. Goiás were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches against Santos FC away and Atlético Goianense at home, by 2-1 and 2-1 respectively. Flamengo were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Goiás are now in 9th place on the table and have 35 points while Flamengo sit in 4th with 44 points after 26 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Goiás took the initiative in the second half, when Diego found the net, at 80 minutes. In the end though, their celebrations were kept brief, as Matheus Franca equalised for Flamengo on the 84 minute mark, seing the match finish 1-1.

Substitutions for Goiás included Matheus Sales, Renato Junior, Caio, Apodi and Fellipe Ramos Ignez Bastos for Dada Belmonte, Vinicius, Marquinhos Gabriel, Diego and Auremir, respectively. Flamengo brought on Rodinei, Giorgian De Arrascaeta, Matheus Franca, Mateusao and Joao Gomes, to replace Everton Ribeiro, Marinho, Everton, Victor Hugo Gomes Silva and Arturo Vidal.

There were bookings for Savio, Vinicius and Dada Belmonte from Goiás. For Flamengo, Ayrton Lucas saw yellow.

Goiás will play their next game away against Red Bull Bragantino, while Flamengo will face Fluminense at home.
