Fortaleza 6-0 Bragantino: Fortaleza smash their opponents for six

Fortaleza EC banked all three points against the Red Bull Bragantino in a 6-0 victory on Thursday, at Estadio Castelao. Fortaleza were aiming to improve their league standing following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Atlético Goianense in their previous game, while Bragantino had lost their previous match against America Mineiro. Fortaleza are now in 8th place on the table and have 52 points while Bragantino sit in 14th with 44 points after 37 matches.

Fortaleza started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Jose Welison opened the rout, 26 minutes in. Fortaleza looked to have the match under control when they scored again to grab the advantage, thanks to a goal from Hercules Pereira Do Nascimento, 37 minutes in to establish a 2-0. Fortaleza will next travel to Santos FC, while Bragantino will face Fluminense at home.
