Flamengo 4-1 Bragantino: Flamengo resdicover winning touch in style

Red Bull Bragantino on away loss to Flamengo at Maracana on Sunday. Flamengo arrived at the match looking to pick up more points after losing their last match 3-2 to Fortaleza EC. Bragantino, meanwhile, had secured a point against Internacional in their previous match. Flamengo are now in 4th place, with 48 points from 29 matches, while Bragantino sit in 14th, with 35 points from 29.

Flamengo found the net first, when Gabriel Barbosa opened the rout in the 12th minute to see them go in at half time 1-0 up.

Bragantino fought back, with an early penalty goal from Helinho in the 48th minute. However, each side looked hungry to win and Flamengo then found the back of the net, at 66 minutes thanks to Pedro, taking the score to 2-1. The momentum was again with Flamengo, who then scored again courtesy of a effort from Pedro, 70 minutes in to establish a 3-1 result. They then extended the lead with a hat trick effort from Pedro on the 71 minute mark to give a final score of 4-1.

Substitutions for Flamengo included Everton, Victor Hugo Gomes Silva, Marinho, Guillermo Varela and Matheus Franca for Thiago Maia, Giorgian De Arrascaeta, Pedro, Rodinei and Everton Ribeiro, respectively. Bragantino brought on Jose Hurtado, Jadsom, Ramires, Praxedes and Marcos Vinicios for Hyoran, Jose Hurtado, Carlos Eduardo, Raul and Helinho.

The referee booked Giorgian De Arrascaeta for Flamengo and Luan Candido saw the red card, for Bragantino.

Flamengo next face Internacional while Bragantino are at home to Cuiaba.
