On Thursday, Fluminense suffered an away defeat to Atlético Goianense at Estadio Antonio Accioly. The momentum was again with Fluminense, who then scored again courtesy of a goal from German Cano on the 37 minute mark to establish a 2-0 result. However, Goianense pull-back just before half-time, with a penalty goal from Diego Churín to see out the first half 2-1.

Goianense continued to pile on the pressure in the second half and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Gabriel Baralha on the 75 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Marlon Freitas made it 3-2 just before the final whistle to make it 3-2.
