Mineiro 0-0 São Paulo: No breakthrough at the Governador Magalhaes Pinto

On Monday, Mineiro and São Paulo were held to a 0-0 draw at Governador Magalhaes Pinto. Both Mineiro and São Paulo arrived on the back of wins. Mineiro were looking to continue their run after winning their previous two games against Juventude away and Fortaleza EC at home, by 2-1 and 3-2 respectively. São Paulo, on the other hand, were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-1 win against Atlético Goianense in their last match. As the table looks today, Mineiro are in 3rd place in the table and have 28 points while São Paulo sit in 7th with 23 points after 16 matches.

Substitutions for Mineiro included Ademir, Jair, Eduardo Sasha, Mariano and Calebe for Matias Zaracho, Otavio, Eduardo Vargas, Guga and Ignacio Fernandez, repectively. São Paulo brought on Welington, Joao Moreira, Eder and Rodrigo Huendra Almeida Mendonca, to replace Reinaldo, Igor Gomes, Patrick and Talles Costa.

There were bookings for Hulk from Mineiro, and Igor Vinicius, for São Paulo.

Mineiro will next travel to Botafogo, while São Paulo will face Fluminense at home.
