Paranaense 1-0 Fluminense: Felipe goal lands Paranaense three points

Paranaense enjoyed a home victory against Fluminense at Arena da Baixada on Sunday. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were each keen to pick up points. Paranaense arrived with the intention of improving their league position after a scoreless draw against Ceará in their previous match. Fluminense, meanwhile, had to settle for a draw 1-1 against Palmeiras. both teams are now on 42 points and sit in 5th and 3rd places respectively after 25 matches.

Paranaense started strong and were rewarded, when Pablo Felipe found the net in the 26th minute, finishing the first half 1-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for Paranaense included David Terans, Matheus Fernandes and Bryan Garcia for Vitor Bueno, Leo Cittadini and Romulo, respectively. Fluminense brought on Marrony, Matheus Martinelli, Yago Felipe, Willian and Felipe Melo, to replace Matheus Martins, David Braz, Nathan, German Cano and Manoel.

The referee booked Bryan Garcia and Anderson Silva for Paranaense.

Paranaense will next travel to Avai, while Fluminense will face Fortaleza EC at home.
