Ternana Calcio’s 2-1 win over Crotone on Sunday, was hard fought at the Ezio Scida Stadium. Crotone wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Vicenza in their previous game. Ternana were beaten 4-1 in the previous match against Lecce. At the moment, Crotone and Ternana currently occupy 19th and 11th spots in the league, with 21 points and 47 points respectively after 34 matches.

Crotone started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to Golemic finding the net after only 6 minutes. However, their lead was short lived, as Partipilo equalised for Ternana, 28 minutes in, which brought Cristiano Lucarelli’s squad level at 1-1 at the half time break

Ternana continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Defendi at the 76 minute mark, leaving the final score at 2-1.

For Crotone, Kargbo, Giannotti, Borello, Vulić and Gural, came on for Cangiano, Sala, Marras, Schirò and Canestrelli. Ternana brought on Pettinari, Paghera, Salim Diakite, Defendi and Boben, to replace Donnarumma, Ilias Koutsoupias, Martella, Federico Furlan and Bogdan.

There were bookings for Estevez, Golemic and Giannotti from Crotone. For Ternana, Bogdan and Martella saw yellow.
