Roma strolled past Lazio with a 3-0 win on Sunday at the Stadio Olympico. Roma arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 1-1 draw against Udinese whilst Lazio were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Venezia and Cagliari. Following today’s result, Roma and Lazio sit 5th, (51 points) and 6th, (49 points), in the table respectively, after 30 matches.

Giallorossi started strongly in the first half, with an early goal from Tammy Abraham in the 1st minute. The momentum was now with Roma, who then scored again through a second effort from Tammy Abraham, 22 minutes in to establish a 2-0. However they weren’t finished yet and Lorenzo Pellegrini made it 3-0 just before half-time to see out the first half 3-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 3-0.

Both coaches used all available substitutions. For Roma, Matias Vina, Jordan Veretout and Edoardo Bove, came on for Nicola Zalewski, Sergio Oliveira and Lorenzo Pellegrini, Lazio brought on Manuel Lazzari, Luka Romero and Danilo Cataldi, to replace Elseid Hysaj, Felipe Anderson and Lucas Leiva.

There were bookings for Rick Karsdorp, Gianluca Mancini, Nicola Zalewski and Sergio Oliveira from Roma, and Pedro, Patric and Lucas Leiva, for Lazio.

Roma will next travel to Sampdoria, while Lazio will face Sassuolo at home.
