Juve 2 – Salernitana 0: The Old Lady take all 3 points at the Allianz Stadium

Juventus defeat Salernitana 2-0 on Sunday at the Allianz Stadium. Juve were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games in the league. The most recent was against the Sampdoria away (3-1), the other to Spezia Calcio at home (1-0). Salernitana, on the other hand, were unable to beat Sassuolo in a 2-2 draw. As it stands, Juve are in 4th place on the table and has 59 points while Salernitana sit in 20th with 16 points after 30 matches.

The Old Lady started the first half well, thanks to an early goal from Paulo Dybala in the 5th minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Dusan Vlahovic, at 29 minutes to see out the first half 2-0. The second 45 minutes ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For Juve, Daniele Rugani, Alvaro Morata, Federico Bernardeschi, Moise Kean and Fabio Miretti, came on for Giorgio Chiellini, Paulo Dybala, Arthur, Dusan Vlahovic and Juan Cuadrado. Salernitana brought on Ederson, Simone Verdi, Franck Ribery, Mikael and Mamadou Coulibaly, to replace Lassana Coulibaly, Diego Perotti, Matteo Ruggeri, Federico Bonazzoli and Ivan Radovanovic.

There were bookings for Luca Pellegrini, Danilo and Adrien Rabiot from Juve. For Salernitana, Lassana Coulibaly and Simone Verdi saw yellow.

Salernitana and Juve will next play at home to Torino and Internazionale respectively.
