Verona 0 – Torino 1: The Bull narrowly beat The Yellow and Blues at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi

Torino eased past Hellas Verona in a 1-0 victory on Saturday at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi. Both Verona and Torino came from defeats in their previous league games. Verona were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last game 3-1 to AC Milan. Torino, on the other hand, were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Napoli. Following today’s result, Verona are 9th with 52 points from 37 matches, while Torino sit in 10th, with 47 points from 37.

The Bull started the game well, thanks to Josip Brekalo giving Torino the lead in the 19th minute to see out the first half 0-1. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 1-0 at full time.

For Verona, Bosko Sutalo, Matteo Cancellieri, Martin Hongla, Gianluca Frabotta and Pawel Dawidowicz, came on for Koray Gunter, Fabio Depaoli, Federico Ceccherini, Darko Lazovic and Adrien Tameze. Torino brought on Cristian Ansaldi, Tommaso Pobega, Koffi Djidji and Pietro Pellegri, to replace Mergim Vojvoda, Samuele Ricci, Armando Izzo and Andrea Belotti.

There were bookings for Koray Gunter, Nicolo Casale and Gianluca Caprari from Verona. For Torino, Armando Izzo and Dennis Praet saw yellow.

Verona will next play Lazio away, with Torino facing Roma at home.
