Cagliari 1 – Juve 2: The Old Lady travel to Unipol Domus and get victory

Cagliari were defeated at home by Juventus at Unipol Domus on Saturday. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Cagliari were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last game 5-1 to Udinese. Juve were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Internazionale. As it stands, Cagliari are in 17th place on the table and has 25 points while Juve sit in 4th with 62 points after 32 matches.

The Islanders started strongly in the first half, with Joao Pedro giving Cagliari the lead in the 10th minute. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Matthijs De Ligt equalised for The Old Lady just before half-time, to take a 1-1 lead into half time.

Juve continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Dusan Vlahovic finding the net at the 75 minute mark, leaving the final score at 2-1.

For Cagliari, Marko Rog, Gaston Pereiro, Adam Obert and Keita Balde, came on for Dalbert, Leonardo Pavoletti, Babis Lykogiannis and Alessandro Deiola. Juve brought on Federico Bernardeschi, Moise Kean and Leonardo Bonucci, to replace Adrien Rabiot, Paulo Dybala and Juan Cuadrado.

The referee booked Babis Lykogiannis for Cagliari.

Cagliari next face Sassuolo and Juve are at home to Bologna.
