Monza 1-2 Torino: The Bull open with away win at newcomers Monza

Torino made a fine start in the new Serie A season with win against AC Monza. Today’s result, ASS are in 18th place in the table and have 0 points while Torino sit in 3rd with 3 points after 1 match.

The Bull started the match well, when Aleksey Miranchuk found the net just before halftime, ending the first half 1-0.

Torino continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Antonio Sanabria at the 66 minute mark. In the end though, ASS just before the final whistle hit back though via a Dany Mota goal. The match ended with a 2-1 victory for Torino.

Substitutions for ASS included Andrea Carboni, Patrick Ciurria, Dany Mota, Chris Gytkjaer and Stefano Sensi for Carlos Augusto, Gianluca Caprari, Filippo Ranocchia, Mattia Valoti and Andrea Petagna, repectively. Torino replaced Nikola Vlasic, Jacopo Segre, Valentino Lazaro and Emirhan Ilkhan with Aleksey Miranchuk, Ndary Adopo, Wilfried Stephane Singo and Samuele Ricci.

There were bookings for Pablo Mari from ASS, and Wilfried Stephane Singo and Ndary Adopo, for Torino.

In the second round of action in the Serie A ASS will travel to play Napoli and Torino will play Lazio at home.
