West Ham 2-0 Bournemouth: Irons pick off The Cherries

West Ham United beat Bournemouth with a 2-0 victory on Monday at London Stadium. Both The Hammers and Bournemouth arrived at the match with previous defeats in the league. The Hammers were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 1-0 to Liverpool in their previous fixture. Bournemouth were beaten 1-0 in their previous match against Southampton. The Hammers are now in 10th place, with 14 points from 13 matches, while Bournemouth sit in 14th, with 13 points from 13.

The Irons started the first half well, with a goal from Kurt Zouma just before half-time

The Hammers once more applied the pressure in the second half and were rewarded, when Said Benrahma found the net just before the full time, seing the match finish 2-0.

Substitutions for The Hammers included Michail Antonio, Pablo Fornals and Vladimir Coufal for Gianluca Scamacca, Flynn Downes and Jarrod Bowen, respectively. Bournemouth brought on Kieffer Moore, Mark Travers, Jaidon Anthony and Jordan Zemura, to replace Dominic Solanke, Neto, Ryan Christie and Ryan Fredericks.

The referee booked Jefferson Lerma and Chris Mepham for Bournemouth.

The Hammers will next travel to Manchester United, while Bournemouth will face Tottenham Hotspur at home.
