Crystal Palace 1-0 Man Utd: Poor season for Red Devils ends in defeat at Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace secures a 1-0 victory against Manchester United at Selhurst Park on Sunday. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Palace were looking for a victory after a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa. Man U had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Chelsea. Following the final whistle at the end of the last game of the Premier League season, Palace are in 12th place on the table and has 48 points while Man U sit in 6th with 58 points after 38 matches.

The Eagles started the first half well, thanks to Wilfried Zaha finding the net at the 37 minute mark, finalising the first half 1-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 1-0.

Both managers used all available substitutions. For Palace, Cheikhou Kouyate, Eberechi Eze and James McArthur, came on for Jesuran Rak-Sakyi, Odsonne Edouard and Will Hughes, Man U replaced Juan Mata, Shola Shoretire and Alejandro Garnacho with Hannibal Mejbri, Fred and Diogo Dalot.

There were bookings for Will Hughes and Odsonne Edouard from Palace, and Hannibal Mejbri, Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof and Bruno Fernandes, for Man U.
