Chelsea 2-1 Watford: Late Ross Barkley winner gives Chelsea the win at the Bridge

Chelsea defeat Watford 2-1 on Sunday at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea wanted to improve their league standing following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Manchester United in their previous game. Watford, on the other hand, were beaten 5-1 in the previous match against Leicester City. Following the final whistle at the end of the last game of the Premier League season, Chelsea are in 3rd place on the table and has 74 points while Watford sit in 19th with 23 points after 38 matches.

The Blues dominated the first half, thanks to Kai Havertz finding the net at the 11 minute mark. The score at half time was 1-0.

The Hornets took the initiative in the second half, with Dan Gosling finding the net, at 87 minutes. In the end though, Chelsea just before the final whistle took the victory following a Ross Barkley goal. The game ended with a 2-1 home victory.

Both coaches used allfull available substitutions. For Chelsea, Malang Sarr, Ross Barkley and Ben Chilwell, came on for Robert Kenedy, Antonio Rudiger and Mason Mount, Watford replaced Cucho Hernandez, Adam Masina and Dan Gosling with Joshua King, Hassane Kamara and Edo Kayembe.
