Vancouver Whitecaps 1-0 Los Angeles: Caps upset the odds with home success over The Black and Gold

Los Angeles FC on away loss to Caps at BC Place Stadium on Sunday. As the table looks today, Caps and Los Angeles currently occupy 8th and 1st spots in the table, with 24 points and 36 points respectively after 24 matches.

After a goalless first half, Caps piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Cubas just before the final whistle so at full time it was 1-0 to Caps.

Substitutions for Caps included Dájome, Vite, Martins, Ricketts and Jungwirth for Cavallini, Raposo, Godinho, White and Gauld, repectively. Los Angeles brought on Segura, Opoku, Ilie, Danny Trejo and Cal Jennings, to replace Murillo, Danny Musovski, Kellyn Acosta, Arango and Ibeagha.

There were bookings for Cavallini and Gauld from Caps. For Los Angeles, Murillo and Mamadou Fall saw yellow.
