Kansas were defeated at home by Red Bulls at Children’s Mercy Park on Monday. As it stands, Kansas are currently 14th with 16 points from 25 matches, while Red Bulls sit in 1st, with 32 points from 25.

After an uneventful first half, Red Bulls certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, when Long found the net at the 53 minute mark, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for Kansas included Tzionis for Hernandez, repectively. Red Bulls brought on Harper, Klimala and Ngoma, to replace Fernandez, Barlow and Morgan.

The referee booked Fontàs from Kansas. Red Bulls had the worst of it though, with Harper, John Tolkin and Amaya seeing yellow, and Nealis then sent off with a red.

Red Bulls and Kansas will next play away to Cincinnati and Montréal respectively.
