Seattle 2-1 Houston: Montero steers The Sounders to home win

Houston Dynamo fell to an away defeat at the hands of Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field on Monday. Seattle and Houston currently occupy 9th and 14th spots in the table, with 36 points and 29 points respectively after 41 matches.

Houston started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Steres gave them the lead on the 26 minute mark. The first half ended 1-0.

Seattle continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, with a goal from Tolo, 60 minutes in. The Sounders then netted once more and turned the match thanks to a goal from Montero, 76 minutes in to make it 2-1.

Substitutions for Seattle included Montero and Rowe for Leyva and Atencio, respectively. Houston replaced Raines, Hadebe, Úlfarsson, Quiñones and Bartlow with Memo Rodríguez, Parker, Sebastián Ferreira, Baird and Raines.

There were bookings for Montero and Rusnák from Seattle. For Houston, Dorsey saw yellow.
