Real Salt Lake 1-1 Vancouver: Claret and Cobalt concede late in frustrating home draw

RSL were held to 1-1 draw by Caps down on Sunday at Rio Tinto Stadium. As it stands, RSL are in 5th place, with 38 points from 37 matches, while Caps sit in 7th, with 34 points from 37.

After an uneventful first half, Claret and Cobalt took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Córdova at the 60 minute mark. In the end though, their celebrations were kept brief, as Julian Gressel equalised for Caps just before the final whistle and saw the match end 1-1.

Substitutions for RSL included Julio, Méndez, Caldwell and Holt for Chang, Löffelsend, Meram and Córdova, repectively. Caps brought on Julian Gressel, White, Berhalter, Ricketts and Godinho, to replace Schöpf, Raposo, Teibert, Cavallini and Cubas.

There were bookings for Löffelsend from RSL. For Caps, Teibert and Berhalter saw yellow.
