Philadelphia Union 2-1 New England Revolution: Revs fail to hang on to lead

On Sunday, New England Revolution suffer an away defeat to Philadelphia Union at Subaru Park. Following today’s result, Union are currently 1st with 39 points from 28 matches, while Revs sit in 9th, with 25 points from 28.

After an uneventful first half, Revs took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Bou at the 61 minute mark. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Uhre in the 75th minute, brought Union level. Union then netted again and turned the match thanks to a goal from Gazdag, at 78 minutes to make it 2-1.

Substitutions for Union included Bedoya, Uhre, Burke, Mbaizo and Real for Leon Flach, Aaronson, Carranza, Harriel and Jack Mcglynn, repectively. Revs brought on Traustason, Maciel, Altidore and Boateng for Polster, Borrero, Mcnamara and Lletget.
