New England Revolution 2-1 Minnesota: Revs secure second-half winner over The Loons at Gillette Stadium

On Monday, Minnesota United suffer an away defeat to New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium. As it stands, Revs are currently 6th with 22 points from 21 matches, while Minnesota sit in 11th, with 18 points from 21.

The Loons started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Reynoso gave Minnesota the lead at the 36 minute mark, saw out the first half 1-0.

Revs started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, when Borrero found the net, 52 minutes in. Revs then scored once more and turned the match thanks to a goal from Bou, 69 minutes in with a final score of 2-1.

Substitutions for Revs included Traustason, Maciel, Spaulding and Reveno for Altidore, Kaptoum, Dejuan Jones and Borrero, repectively. Minnesota brought on Hlongwane, Hunou and Rosales, to replace Lod, Fragapane and Trapp.

There were bookings for Mcnamara and Farrell from Revs. For Minnesota, Trapp, Lod, Dibassy, Amarilla and Lawrence saw yellow.
