New England Revs 1-0 D.C. United: Early Gil goal gives Revs a narrow win

On Sunday, D.C. United suffer an away defeat to New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium. As the table looks today, Revs are in 6th place in the table and have 33 points while D.C. sit in 14th with 22 points after 35 matches.

Revs started the first half well, when Carles Gil gave Revs the lead, 18 minutes in, concluding the first half 1-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-0.

Substitutions for Revs included Buck, Makoun and González for Damian Rivera, Rennicks and Boateng, repectively. D.C. replaced Smith, Fountas, Djeffal, Hopkins and Ku-Dipietro with Sami Guediri, Kamara, Rodríguez, Miguel Berry and Najar.

The referee booked Pálsson and Hopkins for D.C.

D.C. and Revs will next play away to Los Angeles FC and Toronto FC respectively.
