Nashville 1-2 Sporting Kansas: Visitors hold out for surprise three points

Sporting Kansas City beat Nashville SC with a thumping 2-1 victory on Monday at Nissan Stadium. After today’s result, Nashville and Kansas currently occupy 6th and 13th spots in the league, with 23 points and 16 points respectively after 22 matches.

Kansas dominated the first half, when Hernandez gave Wizards the lead just before halftime, saw out the first half 1-0.

Kansas started the second half with renewed vigour, when Zusi found the net in the 51st minute. In the end though, Nashville, 63 minutes in pull-back following a Aké Loba goal, leaving the final score at 2-1.

Substitutions for Nashville included Aké Loba, Washington, Mccarty and Leal for Tah Anunga, Romney, Godoy and Miller, repectively. Kansas replaced Espinoza, Ford and Pierre with Duke, Walter and Russell.

There were bookings for Godoy from Nashville, and Melia, Russell and Espinoza, for Kansas.
