Nashville 1-2 Minnesota: The Loons seal precious away win in Nashville

Nashville SC fell to a home defeat at the hands of Minnesota United at Nissan Stadium on Monday. After today’s result, Nashville and Minnesota are 8th, (33 points) and 4th, (38 points), in the table respectively, after 36 matches.

The Loons started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Fragapane found the net at the 28 minute mark, ending the first half 1-0.

Nashville took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Mukhtar at the 61 minute mark. In the end though, Minnesota, at 75 minutes took the victory via a Benítez goal and saw the match end 2-1.

Substitutions for Nashville included Godoy, Haakenson and Zubak for Muyl, Mccarty and Davis, repectively. Minnesota brought on Rosales and González, to replace Fragapane and Reynoso.

There were bookings for Leal from Nashville, and Reynoso, Fragapane and Lod, for Minnesota.
