Nashville 1-2 Los Angeles: Cifuentes nets the Black and Gold all 3 points

Los Angeles FC’s 2-1 win over Nashville SC on Monday, was hard fought at Nissan Stadium. Following today’s result, Nashville are currently 4th with 30 points from 29 matches, while Los Angeles sit in 1st, with 42 points from 29.

The Black and Gold started the first half well, when Arango found the net in the 27th minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Mukhtar, 43 minutes in, brought Nashville level. Los Angeles in turn, then responded just before halftime increasing their lead with an effort from Cifuentes, ending the first half 2-1. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 2-1 at full time.

Substitutions for Nashville included Bunbury, Davis, Aké Loba, Haakenson and Washington for Muyl, Mccarty, Sapong, Tah Anunga and Leal, repectively. Los Angeles brought on Segura, Bale, Blessing, Ismael Tajouri and Ibeagha, to replace Chiellini, Arango, Ilie, Opoku and Escobar.

There were bookings for Muyl, Tah Anunga and Leal from Nashville. For Los Angeles, Escobar and Blessing saw yellow.

Next up, Nashville are away to Cincinnati, whilst Los Angeles will travel to face Sporting Kansas City.
