Minnesota 1-1 Sporting Kansas: Sporting reel in United to take a share of the spoils

On Thursday, Minnesota and Kansas were held to a 1-1 draw at Allianz Field. As it stands, Minnesota are in 9th place, with 25 points from 28 matches, while Kansas sit in 13th, with 20 points from 28.

The Loons started the match well, when Pulskamp gave Minnesota the lead just before halftime

Kansas took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Russell at the 63 minute mark. The final result, Minnesota 1, Kansas 1.

Substitutions for Minnesota included Rosales and Hayes for Hlongwane and Trapp, repectively. Kansas brought on Russell and Shelton, to replace Rosell and Tzionis.

There were bookings for Trapp, Taylor and Reynoso from Minnesota. For Kansas, Fontàs saw yellow.

Minnesota will next play D.C. United at home, with Kansas facing Real Salt Lake away.
