Houston 2-0 Chicago: Orange Crush claim comfortable win with first half goals

Chicago Fire fell to an away defeat at the hands of Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium on Sunday. As things stand, Houston and Chicago currently occupy 8th and 13th spots in the league, with 21 points and 14 points respectively after 22 matches.

Houston started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with a goal from Úlfarsson, 24 minutes in. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Quintero just before halftime. The score at half time was 2-0. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 2-0 at full time.

Substitutions for Houston included Parker, Pasher, Carrasquilla, Avila and Dorsey for Steres, Memo Rodríguez, Quintero, Sebastián Ferreira and Úlfarsson, repectively. Chicago brought on Herbers, Espinoza, Durán, Andre Reynolds Ii and Offor for Gutierrez, Ivanov, Przybyłko, Bornstein and Navarro.

There were bookings for Memo Rodríguez, Steres, Cerén and Parker from Houston, and Navarro and Espinoza, for Chicago.
