D.C. United 1-3 Nashville SC: Visitors race away to impressive victory

Nashville SC snatched all three points from D.C. United in a 3-1 victory on Sunday, at Audi Field. As the table looks today, D.C. are currently 14th with 14 points from 22 matches, while Nashville sit in 4th, with 26 points from 22.

Nashville started the first half well, when Lovitz gave Nashville the lead after only 7 minutes. However they weren’t finished yet and Mukhtar made it 2-0 just before halftime. The score at half time was 2-0.

Nashville started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with an early second effort from Mukhtar in the 50th minute. In the end though, D.C., 60 minutes in hit back though via a Fountas goal and saw the match end 3-1.

Substitutions for D.C. included Robertha, Estrada, Pines, Smith and Skundrich for Djeffal, Kamara, Julian Gressel, Smith and Canouse, repectively. Nashville replaced Haakenson, Aké Loba, Tah Anunga, Zubak and Washington with Leal, Sapong, Mccarty, Mukhtar and Lovitz.

There were bookings for Najar and Birnbaum from D.C., and Lovitz, Zimmerman, Romney and Tah Anunga, for Nashville.
