Colorado 1-1 Columbus: Points shared as Rapids peg back The Crew

On Sunday, COLO and Columbus were held to a 1-1 draw at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. After today’s result, COLO are in 10th place in the table and have 31 points while Columbus sit in 5th with 34 points after 35 matches.

It was an impressive opening from Columbus, with an early goal from Cucho in the 5th minute. However, their lead was short lived, as Rubio equalised for COLO just before halftime, to take a 1-1 lead into half time. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Substitutions for COLO included Beitashour, Nicholson, Warner and Dantouma Toure for Lucas Esteves, Jonathan Lewis, Gutierrez and Barrios, repectively. Columbus brought on Hurtado, Igbekeme and Morris, to replace Díaz, Etienne and Artur.

There were bookings for Lucas Esteves, Wilson, Acosta and Rubio from COLO. For Columbus, Nagbe, Artur and Zelarayán saw yellow.
